Day 1

Wake early and meet with your guides in Downtown San Francisco and Fisherman’s Wharf. We cross the Bay Bridge heading into Oakland and on into the Central Valley. We make a quick stop at a local market for fresh food for the day before continuing our travels through California Gold Country.

We arrive at Yosemite National Park by late morning and begin our adventure down into Yosemite’s glaciated basin. Our guided tour includes plenty of steps to take in Yosemite’s iconic rock formations, frozen waterfalls and views including Half Dome and El Capitan.

After our tour, we make our way to Yosemite Valley Lodge, nestled right at the base of Yosemite Falls. Settle in before setting out to enjoy Yosemite’s stunning sites on your own for the rest of the afternoon.

Your guide can recommend plenty of activity options including continuing your tour of Yosemite’s valley, snowshoeing some of the trails, exploring the Ansel Adams Gallery, ice skating at the ice rink in Half Dome Village, taking a twilight hike with a Yosemite guide, cozying up to some fireside storytelling at the historic Majestic Hotel, or seeing what excellent dining options the area has to offer.

Day 2

Sleep in or wake early before enjoying a fresh breakfast at Yosemite Lodge. Check your bag at the front desk, where you can pick it up before heading home. Then, you have another day of exploring Yosemite’s wonders before you.

Fill your day with whatever activities you wish that you couldn’t fit in yesterday afternoon. Rejoin the group at 3:30 in the afternoon at Yosemite Lodge before heading back to California. There’s plenty of sites to enjoy on the drive as well—orchards, mountains and the San Francisco skyline—before reaching your hotel for the evening.
